It is always refreshing to see a band or artist develop themselves beyond what traditional precedents would suggest. Designing a sound is just as important as how they are arranged, and LA based six piece, Physical Forms, have taken that to heart. With a strong lineup of L.A. based underground noise artists that includes prolific indie lyricist, Busdriver, as well as members from the Mae Shi, Little Ones, and Bad Dudes; Physical Forms takes great care to create a fun, noise pop experience that is raw and electrifying. By using homemade, DIY controllers such as a giant button wall made of LED backed Frisbees, or Busdriver’s light sensitive tone generating gardening gloves; there is no limit to the unique sounds and experiences that can be conjured up, giving a one-of-a-kind uniqueness to any live or studio performance.
Physical Forms will be performing at Check Yo Ponytail in full force coming up on Thursday, September 15th. Joining them will be the Teddybears, Win Win, and Teams. Tickets are available here. In the meantime, check out this podcast for Knocksteady featuring Physical Forms as they give us a closer look at their expanded universe.
