Check Yo Ponytail is very pleased to announce the return of Das Racist to CYP2. Last year, Das Racist made their Check Yo debut alongside Yelawolf and turntable legend DJ Craze. Since then, the Brooklyn trio of MC’s Heems, Kool A.D., and hype man Dap have released their first full length album, Relax, which has since gone on to top many of the 2011 best of lists including Rolling Stone and SPIN, as well as the cover story for SPIN magazine’s November 2011 issue. Expect a flurry of hi-brow, literary references coupled with a Kate Bush shoutout or two during their highly energetic performances.

Joining Das Racist will be the Mishka endorsed Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire, a New York MC whose 2011′s debut mixtape, Lost in Translation, is already garnering the attention of the hip hop community. Recently, Danny Brown (who will also be playing CYP2 on January 24th) dubbed Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire as the next B.I.G. in an interview with XXL. A bold statement that is justified with each new release.

CYP2 featuring Das Racist and Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire, with Young L and resident Franki Chan will take place on February 28th, 2012. Tickets will be available here.
